Rotation is an ode to the radio DJ. The unsung heroes behind the music we love. This song is a tribute to their passion and dedication, their knack for selecting the perfect song for the moment.
OJAM, once again has joined funky forces with Ben Liebrand in a cross-continent collaboration called “Running Away”, a cover from Roy Ayers’ original. This all resulting in a timeless percussive Funky Disco House production.

With a strong devotion to the soul, funk, and disco traditions of the 70s and 80s, Dutch band OJAM skillfully revives these sounds for contemporary audiences. The band draws inspiration from a range of artists, from the iconic voices of Shalamar, Chaka Khan, and Prince, to the modern talents of Alicia Keys, Lizzo, and Bruno Mars.
OJAM's music is characterized by its infectious, danceable grooves and feel-good vibes. However, beneath the vibrant beats lie thoughtful and socially conscious themes. Their lyrics touch on critical issues such as domestic violence, unhealthy relationships, stalking, political corruption, and the spread of false information.
The dynamic duo at the heart of OJAM is vocalist Vivian Veronique and producer/drummer Raoul Soentken. Soentken, a protege of renowned engineer Bruce Swedien (Quincy Jones/ Michael Jackson), brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to the production process. Together, Veronique and Soentken create songs that are as meaningful as they are enjoyable to listen to.
In May 2022, OJAM released their latest EP "Reunite," which was met with great enthusiasm. This was followed by a collaborative effort with DJ legend Ben Liebrand on a refreshing rendition of the disco classic "Running Away." The track garnered considerable attention on both national and international radio stations, proving once again that Ojam's blend of classic and contemporary sounds resonates with a wide audience.
